English × Home Economics
Our school is committed to promoting cross-curricular collaboration, creating immersive learning spaces that enhance students‘ learning interest and effectiveness. Recently, the English Department and the Home Economics Department joined hands to design a unique cross-curricular learning unit: Learning Journey: English Lessons: Students learned how to write recipes in English, mastering relevant vocabulary, sentence structures, and writing techniques. Home Economics Lessons: Students put their own recipes into practice in the kitchen, developing essential cooking skills and kitchen safety awareness.
By combining "writing" with "doing", students not only strengthened their English literacy skills, but also applied their knowledge to everyday life — achieving the goals of deep learning and learning by doing.
